Industrial Friction Clutches


Available with either air or spring engagement and in an array of mounting options, industrial friction clutches from Mach III transmit torque from one drive train component to another. They are used to connect and disconnect machine components and provide tension control.

Function: Connect, Disconnect (Non-Cycling or Low Cycling Applications)

  • Spring pressure compresses drive and friction discs to produce a fixed amount of torque.
  • Air pressure is applied to disengage the clutch.
