Clutch-Brake Combinations


Mach III combination clutch-brakes provide both clutch and brake functions in one simple to install unit. When the clutch portion of the unit is engaged, power is transmitted from a source such as a continuously rotating motor to a machine component such as a shaft. When the brake is engaged, the component is held stationary.

  • Two separate air signals are required.
  • Both clutch and brake torque transmitted are proportional to the amount of air pressure applied.
