Component To Component Shaft Drive Arrangement


Mach III offers two catalog products that transmit torque via an integral input shaft.

SENSIFLEX® Foot Mount Clutches have both an input and output shaft. They accommodate either a timing belt pulley, v-belt pulley or sprocket mounted on each shaft as required. Used primarily in tension control applications, they are less costly and require less maintenance than comparable foot mounted magnetic particle clutches.

The Morse Taper Input Torque Limiter Mechanism is driven by a #3 Morse taper socket and is available with multiple couplings for connection to a variety of components, including the 2 Inch square operating nuts used on the gate valves in many waste water treatment facilities.

Function: Tension Control

  • Patented design maintains smooth, constant tension on a roll of material as it builds through the rewind process in label printing and similar applications.
  • Torque is proportional to the air pressure applied.
